Home page shown in Internet Explorer

The home page for User Centered Design serves as an entrance to the company's web site and provides information to the viewer about the company and the services it offers. This is a startup company that specializes in software development with emphasis on GUIs and Human Factors for desktop applications, web sites, web applicaitons, and hand-held devices. The page is coded in xhtml to assure browser compatibility in the future. Below is a description of the elements used in the home page.

2. Banner
Color:	hex value #83ACDB The banner is created by combining two rectangular regions and appying filters in PhotoShop.
Font Family:	Times New Roman, Bold
Font Size:	36pt A large size was chosen to get the attention of the user.
Tag Line:	A tag line was chosen to inform the user as to what this site was about. The Font Size for the tag line was 14pt.
Alt Tag:	User Centered Design, 15 years of experience in GUI design, development and Human Factors

3. Buttons
Color:	hex value #83ACDB The buttons are created in PhotoShop.
Font Family:	Times New Roman, Bold This font was chosen for its aesthetics.
Font Size:	18pt Chose this size to get the user's attention and to make it easier for the user to find it.
Alt Tag:	Alt tags used for the About, Contact Us, and Jobs button are About, Contact Us, and Jobs respectively. However, the window.status attribute is set to About User Centered Design, Contact User Centered Design, and Jobs at User Centered Design for the buttons About, Contact Us, and Jobs respectively.
Rollover:	The rollover buttons are used as a design element.

4. Body
Services:	Font Family:Times New Roman, Normal, Font Size:18pt The font was chosen and the block was indented to gracefully take the users attention to the kinds of services this company can provide.
Bulleted Items:	Default Font This section was indented for aesthetics.
